Never Not Inspiring: Duran Duran’s “Girl Panic”

This video came out in 2011, and it’s still my absolute favorite. It has everything you’d ever need, so I’ll stick to 5:

1. The Supers (I could watch Naomi watch paint dry)
2. Jonas Åkerlund‘s work here is brilliant enough to forever absolve him of Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video.
3. This is product placement / synergy done absolutely right. From Swarovski Elements, to The Savoy, to Harper’s Bazaar, to the Dolce & Gabbana cameo, nothing feels the least bit inorganic.
4. Eva Herzigova deserves an award for the most feral, sexy portrayal of Nick Rhodes in history.
5. This is the least lazy approach to androgyny I’ve seen in fashion, art, or film in recent years.
